Ewald Frank was born near Gdansk, Poland, in 1933, and migrated to West Germany after the end of WWII. He became a leader of William Branham's "Message" cult following after William Branham's tour through Europe, and with a small group of recruits in Karlsruhe, Germany, formed a sub-sect of the cult. Over time, Frank rose to the central figure of that sect, which came to be called the Free People's Mission Krefeld. In 1964, the Free People's Mission Krefeld was recognized as a non-profit organization, having 250 members, and the sect has grown to over three thousand members.
