Celestron 8" Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope on CGEM II Computerized Equatorial Mount
This is already an intermediate-advanced telescope system for an astronomy hobbyist for not only visual observation but also astrophotography after upgrading with additional equipment (e.g. camera, guide scope etc.). I owned the equipment for a while but I rarely used since it is quite bulky device and I have now another easy-to-carry telescope which made me to sell this Celestron telescope. Both the scope and mount are in very good condition and fully functional.

Please be noted that since the equipment is quite heavy and bulky, it is not easy to ship it with post and hence pick up from my location is preferred. In case you are interested, I can provide a basic introduction to the telescope at the time of pick up (e.g. setting up, using for visual observation etc.).
The telescope can be upgraded for astrophotgraphy if you are interested to expand your hobby. This requires additional equipment such as a reducer, camera, guide scope, computer etc. If this is also interest to you I can help you in set up a system. I may even have some parts available for this purpose.

The NexStar+ hand controller:
Celestron has fitted this CGEM II 800 SCT Computerized Telescope with their powerful NexStar+ hand controller. This device has been programmed with over 40,000 objects within its database and allows the addition of 100 user-defined objects as well! Not sure what you want to observe? This hand controller is equipped with a Sky Tour feature that shows you the most popular objects for the time and location you are observing. The red backlit Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) screen is clear and easy to read, and nineteen large backlit buttons make navigating through the controls effortless. In addition, this hand controller has a mini-USB port for connection to a PC for computer control.
