🏷️ Up for sale is a very rare vintage late 60s dress by the American designer Dominic Rompollo.
Dominic Rompollo was amoung the young, talented and daring fashion designers like Geoffrey Beene, Chester Weinberg, Rodriguez, Kay Unger and Malcolm Starr who led fashion innovation in the USA in the 1960s. So this dress is a piece of fashion history !
Nice milky sky blue color.
On the front, low décolleté with a typical mod - Space Age geometric panelling detail that provides a bib look.
Matching long tubular shaped jersey belt, attached to the dress by small decorative metallic tubes.
Zipper in the back with a beautiful matching blue metallic zipper slider in mint condition.
A-line cut.
A high quality thick, slightly stretchy jersey material. No material label but it feels like wool. Otherwise it might be a hight quality wool-synthetic blend.
The dress fits best someone who wears size L / IT 44-46 / DK-GER 38-40 / UK 12-14 / US 8-12 better. Please carefully check the measurements below :
