🏷️ Up for sale is a gorgeous, very rare, vintage coat from the 60s by a not so well known high end fashion house, Elgee of London.
The quintessential mod coat !
So mod, so Swinging London, so pop !
Stylized trenchcoat-style collar; decorative plastic and metal buttons, so typical of the era!; matching belt in the same fabric; two geometric front pockets.
Perfect cut, very structured, as is typical of the best designers of the era; you will look slim wearing this coat !
The coat displays all the details of delicate and meticulous craftsmanship one may expect from such a high-end garment. This coat is of the same quality level as a luxury garment by Louis Féraud or André Courrèges. Unfortunately, the photos don't do it justice. I had a hard time trying to take pictures of the coat, maybe due to its black colour.
Rich lightweight wool fabric.
Decorative studs have been added to the vertical loops (see photos 7 & 8). They blend well in with the mod style, while providing a fresher, «rock» vibe.
The coat will suit someone who wears Dk-Ger 34-36 / It 40 / UK 8 / US 4. I am petite (155 cm) and the coat reaches slightly below the knees.
