Offered for sale here is a framed original BMW magazine advertisement from 1978.
The text on the print reads:
Art and individualism.
The entire BMW range embodies the superior technology which inspired individualistic concept of a high-performance motor car, with functional, straightforward styling and compact dimensions. It is because of this that BMW cars appeal to the discerning motorist, who wants to express his individualism through the vehicle he drives. Perhaps for the same reason, they have provided a medium for leading artists to express their individual point of view.
Prominent artists like Alexander Calder, Frank Stella and Roy Lichtenstein have produced their own interpretations of the dynamic, sporting image of BMW cars.
The BMW racing cars which they have turned into works of art are not for sale. But the BMW cars you can buy are.
The art and the engineering are entirely different, but they both work on the same assumption — that art is the product of skill.

The print measures approximately 16.5cm x 25.5cm (6.5" x 9.75").
The original advertisement sits centered on an A4 sheet of black Canson Iris Vival 185gsm card stock.
All our prints are originals taken from publications — no reproductions, no scans — just vintage ads carefully removed and framed.
This print is over 40 years old, so there will be signs of age. Some discoloration is commonplace and often there are small tears and signs of wear — little badges of authenticity.
There will be images and/or text on the back-side of your print. In some cases this may be slightly discernible through your print.
The A4 frame measures 22.7cm x 31.7cm x 1.0cm.
Can be posted (Toridiili) or collected from either Punavuori or Jätkäsaari, whatever suits best.
