Fabric has a standard 100%cotton feel. Not much stretch but maybe the fillers produce some stretch. Has a little smoother glide than 100%cotton and the fillers help the colour stick and help with wearability. Weight is similar to Levis 501 but cut is not. I think cut is slimmer at the hem and rise is higher, overall look is smarter.
Waist area is well engineered.
Needs a person who prefers high rise/high waist. I think this item is not extreme and the cut is not funky in any way but as a I prefer normal rise I notice this is different. Also the jeans are not for somebody who has much volume in thigh area, but again I think they fit better/roomier than the same size in Levis 501.
For me 178cm/85kg (L tops, 34/32 jeans/chinos) I can comfortably put them on but would not start to wear them as I need up one size in the waist.
