The Hilton guide to Malta
Phoenician-style boats with lucky eyes.
One of Malta's characteristic sights is the traditional brightly painted fishing boats.
Almost unchanged in design since the days of the Phoenicians, each boat bears the symbol of the eye, a good luck symbol that also dates back to ancient times.
The boats are a reminder of Malta's long history-a history which has given the island a unique charm and character. And this charm is very much in evidence at the luxurious yet friendly Hilton Hotel.
Standing in 30 acres of gardens, the Hilton has a private rock-beach by the sea and is a complete resort in itself. It is the ideal centre for a wonderful holiday on this delightful holiday island.
The 'Silent Capital'. Every day, excursions leave the Hilton to places of interest such as M'dina, the old capital of Malta. Known as the 'Silent Capital', its cool, narrow streets and magnificent buildings have a mysteriously quiet air.
Food and drink. Returning to the Hilton, you can enjoy an excellent lunch at the poolside Beachcomber or the informal Taverna. In the 8 Auberges Restaurant, named after the 'auberges, or living quarters of the Knights of St John, you can enjoy haute cuisine. While at night, the Falcon Bar offers vibrant night life with dancing to live music.
Sporting life. To laze by the Hilton's three pools, bask on the rocks by the sea and later take a sauna in the hotel - this is sport enough for many! The Hilton also has tennis courts, and mini-golf, however, and we can arrange for you to enjoy snorkelling, water skiing, sailing, golf, polo, clay pigeon shooting... almost anything!
Easy rider. A form of transport that matches the pace of life in Malta is the traditional horse-drawn carriage, the Karrozzin. Take one on a shopping trip to Sliema or to bustling Valletta, where you can visit the medieval St John's Co-Cathedral, the Palace of the Grand Masters and the Grand Harbour. Then, after buying some beautiful Maltese lace, return to the cool of the Hilton lobby for a tea-time concerto given by our resident pianist!

The brand-new A4 frame measures 22.7cm x 31.7cm x 1.0cm.
The print sits centered on an A4 sheet of Canson Iris Vival 185gsm card stock and is held in place using a single Goldbuch acid-free adhesive.
Can be posted (Toridiili) or collected from either Punavuori or Jätkäsaari, whatever suits best.
