🏷️ Up for sale is a true vintage handkerchief from the 1980s.
Bought from a shop that specialises in vintage high end clothes in Cannes, South of France.
🎨 Tomato red, ochre yellow, fir tree green and white. A colour combination that reminds of Italy, of dolce vita !
The pattern at the centre with vine leaves reminds of a kaleidoscope ; around it is a rose window in the shape of a gothic cathedral vault ; and around them are musician busts with ancien music instruments like a harp, a lyra, a viola / vielle, a lute, a mandoline.
Material is unknown. So I cannot guarantee it is silk. Maybe it is a high quality polyester or acetate. However, the scarf has rolled edges, which are often a sign that the scarf is silk. I haven't dared risking the burning test so far.
