Apple’s Pro Mouse M5769 (2000) was the world’s first zero-button mouse - a minimalist leap into the future of interface design.
Replacing the traditional rubber ball with a cutting-edge LED optical sensor, Apple stripped back the form to a seamless, sculptural object. The elongated oval shape, clear acrylic shell, and stark black core echoed the design language of the accompanying keyboard - a unified vision of translucency, tactility and tech.
A bold move in usability and aesthetics, this mouse redefined what a computer accessory could look and feel like.
