This is a 1996 Insera Montana that has recently been rebuilt with 1x7 gearing
The frame is in good condition, but the fork was damaged (bad threads) and has been replaced with a Chromoly fork from a similar era Marin. Many parts are new, including:
- Ghost 40mm riser bars
- 60mm Lapierre 31.8 stem
- BBB BHP-21 threadless stem adapter
- Shimano Essa crankset 170mm and 32t chainring
- Bottom Bracket: Shimano UN300 113mm
- Cassette: Sunrace 11-28 7 speed
- Brake pads front and rear
- Shimano thumb shifter
Other parts are original or second hand
Tires are in good condition (Schwalbe billy bonkers in front and Maxxis DHT in rear)
Other work includes having the rear wheel checked and trued at Martin Pyörä and I've serviced the axle and headset bearings with new great.
The bike is fun to ride and would make a great commuter or running around town ride.
