Selling both of my tube amps for lack of use and potentially facilitating the acquisition of other gear.
Currently Im looking for a trade for a JCM800 Reissue model.
About the amps:
Ive owned both amps for less than a year. They have never seen a stage and have been located in my ventilated rehearsal space far away from moisture, if you care for these infos.
They do exactly what they were designed to do and havent been modded.
The JCM900 is the less gainy version of the 900 family, it has a similar sound to a 2203 JCM800 if you leave the gain sensitivity off (that knob wilö bring in the clipping diode that will increase distortion). Again this is not a very high gain amplifier, it sounds very vintagy.
The JCM2000 DSL is probably a very known amp but just in case I want to mention that besides the layot it has very little in common sonically with the modern day DSL amps made in Vietnam.
It has two channels with each two gain structures:
The green channel features a really nice clean channel and a vintage drive type mode that reminds me of a JCM800 with a bit less boomyness.
The second channel is full on distortion, goes from articulate overdrive in the first mode to unnecessary stupid amounts of gain, if youre into that type of stuff. All in all a very versitile amp and I really enjoy playing it.
