Juha KankkunenThe Toyota Celica Twin Cam Turbo made its debut for Toyota's Group B
rally car at the World Rally Championship in 1983. The Celica was
mounted with a 2-liter in-line 4-cylinder DOHC engine on the front with a
turbocharger. The Celica adopted two-wheel drive that conveyed the
power of 326 horsepower to the rear wheels. With a simple mechanism and a
light weight of 1150 kg, the Celica demonstrated excellent performance.
While the 4WD model was dominant, it demonstrated overwhelming strength
in the safari rally where durability is tested. From 1984 to 1985 and
1986, the Toyota Celica won the championship for three consecutive years
and achieved 1-2 finish for 2 consecutive years in1985 and 1986.This is a plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the Toyota Celica
TA64 Twin Cam Turbo, which was driven by Juha Kankkunen and won one of
the 1985 World Rally Championships.*Scale in 1/24, the finished size is about 182 mm in length, and 77 mm in width. *The spartan body style equipped with front guards and auxiliary lights
unique to safari rally specifications is modeled sharply. *The underside of the chassis such as front and rear suspension is reproduced realistically. *The interior surrounded by the roll bar is reproduced with various meters and equipment, giving it a mechanical finish. *Marking is for the winning car, Toyota Celica TA64 Twin Cam Turbo, in the 1985 Safari Rally.
