HMS Naiad is the Royal Navy in 1939--1942
built in 11 Dido class one. When the ship has been in service in World War II
broke out, initially in the British Fleet, for the protection of trade vessels.
November 1940 participated in the search of the German pocket battleship
action. December and January the following year she convoy to Sierra Leone,
Freetown. May 1941 HMS Naiad action took part in the Malta in the
Mediterranean, also participated in the action and then Kerry Vincent island
hit by German planes.
March 11, 1942, HMS Naiad
on the return voyage through the southern island of Crete, when was the German
submarine U-565 was sunk by a torpedo attack, 77 people were killed.
