This Crescent ain’t just history, it’s a proper guarantee you’ll get where you’re going, even if the wind is blowing right in your face.
The Cold Hard Facts:
Model: Elegant ladies' Crescent. A proper beauty from the golden era – late 70s or early 80s.
Gears: The legendary 3-speed Sachs Torpedo. Built to survive the end of the world and then some.
Wheel Size: 28" (Traditional 635 mm ETRTO / the proper old-school size).
Frame: Perfect fit for a rider around 160–170 cm.
Freshly Serviced – Rolls Like an Absolute Dream:
I ain't selling you this with no old, crusty grease, no way. The hubs have just been properly cleaned out and packed with fresh grease. If you find a bike that rolls smoother than this, you must be going downhill all the way!
Keeping it Real (The Honest Bit):
Now, to be completely straight with you, some dodgy characters visited the shed and thought they needed the parts more than me. But don't worry, I sorted it:
Pedals: The old ones went missing, so I fitted a different pair. Proper grip under your shoes now!
Saddle: The original took a walk too. There’s a replacement seat on it now it’s seen some life and got some patina, but it’s solid and does the job perfectly.
Tyres: Brand new rubber on the wheels. There’s a tiny cosmetic factory wobble in 'em, but hey, none of us are perfect, right? Doesn't affect the ride one bit!
The Bits and Bobs:
Comes with the original frame lock (one key, so don't lose it!), a rock-solid luggage rack, and a proper bell to clear your way.
The Deal:
This machine has been kept bone dry, so no rust has got its teeth into it. The price is fair as a winters day, but it’s collection only. I want to see the smile on your face when you jump on the saddle and feel how beautifully this old girl hums.
