Classic 12-string chime
Featuring a custom designed bridge, nut and headstock, the Dreadnought Cutaway 12 String guitar boasts double the number of strings as its traditional counterparts. This extra set of strings creates a unique 'chime' sound when played, as the slightly de-tuned strings interact with each other. This unusual effect is the very draw of the 12-string guitar, as it adds a whole new depth and complexity to your sound which otherwise is difficult to achieve.
Perfect for beginners
The dreadnought cutaway 12 string electro acoustic guitar has been specially designed with playability and comfort in mind, prioritising minimal weight and excellent ergonomics. The result is an ultra-comfortable guitar with an all basswood construction, a lightweight and balanced wood which doesn't compromise on tone. This ensures that you can play for longer without strain, and focus on what is most important, the music!
In-built pre-amp
The dreadnought 12 string features a comprehensive pre-amp. This allows you to plug the guitar directly into an amp, audio interface or PA system, without the need for an additional microphone. The pre amp also features a volume control, three band EQ and presence control; this allows you to easily mould your sound to suit any given venue, or to craft your own tone for recordings.
Cutaway dreadnought shape
Crafted with a cutaway dreadnought body shape, this guitar produces a bold and full-bodied sound whilst also offering easy access to the upper area of the fretboard. The large body size enhances the bass frequencies and projection, providing a deep, resonant tone that’s perfect for a variety of musical styles, The greater projection also ensures that every note you play is heard clearly - whether you're performing in a group or solo.
High-quality materials
Alongside its basswood top and body, the dreadnought 12 string electro acoustic by Gear4music offers an an Okoume neck topped with a thermally treated poplar laminate fretboard. Thermally treated poplar laminate is an environmentally friendly material made using laminations of wood which are bonded together in resin, making the neck ultra-stable. The stability of poplar laminate helps keep your guitar in tune - particularly in situations with quick changes in temperature or humidity.
Reliable hardware
The guitar's hardware is equally as robust as its body; At the headstock, twelve die cast chrome tuners make sure that you can focus on playing, confident that your instrument is in tune. In addition, two chrome strap buttons come pre-installed on the guitar, enabling you to jam in whatever position feels most comfortable for you.
