Now you have the chance to pick up this beautiful and completely restored "crafted in the USA" Peavey Predator. This relic from the mid 90s has come back to life after a full overhaul.
Work done:
- Full refret with stainless steel jumbo frets
- Fret tangs have been nibbed and maple veneer has been glued into the slot ends. This prevents the sharp fret ends during winter when the wood shrinks a little.
- New Tonerider City Limits pickups installed
- New Alpha pots and all new cloth wiring
- Lower tone pot is push/pull enabling 8 different pickup configurations
- New Fender 5-way switch
- Fully copper shielded cavity and pick guard
- New bone nut installed and slots filed
Action is set moderately low and the trem is currently blocked. Trem bar is included if you want to have a floating tremolo.
The tuning machines are original, but I have inspected them and they are in excellent condition. They hold tuning very well.
This guitar needs to be tested to understand how well it plays and how nice it sounds. With the 8 way pickup configuration, it plays everything from clean to metal. See the configuration list for details. It says dpdt switch, but it's a push/pull.
