Up for sale is a beautiful and iconic Certina Argonaut 220 ladies' size watch from the early 1970s. As a private vintage watch collector, I am downsizing a part of my personal collection. This model is highly regarded for its distinct, angular stainless steel case shape, which perfectly captures the design essence of the 1970s.
It features a striking dark dial with subtle vertical brushing, original hands, and a practical date window at 3 o'clock. The front of the case still retains its original factory brushed finish. It comes fitted on a brand new, high-quality brown leather strap.
Specifications:
Movement: High-grade Swiss manual winding (mechanical, hand-wound).
Case Material: Stainless steel (unpolished, original factory finish).
Dial: Original deep dark dial with vertical texture and tritium markers ("T Swiss Made T").
Crystal: Acrylic crystal with minor vintage hairline scratches.
Strap: Brand new brown leather strap with matching stitching.
Complications: Date display at 3 o'clock.
Condition: Running and keeping time. Good vintage condition with honest signs of use on the case and crystal, which add to its authentic character. Please see the photos for a detailed look.
