One of a kind Bassotorvi/ basshorn today from swedish magazine radio&television ”R&T” (1973) one of 4 models. Sucessor to 70/80 horn and later on magazine did RT-2 and RT-3 (1978) which i also built but this is the best version and also digs the deepest. Right now a 18 sound 10w400 in it but best result can be achived with Scan speak 26w or Seas CA26 or even old philips ad10100 with alnico magnet if you want 5-10hz deeper bass. Right now good level to about 40hz and bass is very punchy and tight.
Size is about wide 120cm, depth 60cm and total height about 50cm.
It acts like a furniture where you can keep stereo on top. Even at high levels no vibrations on top so turntable can be here too.
This version is MK2 with improvements. 25/30-320hz usuable. Sensitivity around 105db.
Can easily be configured for passive filter even if woofer only has input. Speakon in bottom. I can help out with that ofcourse.
I built this in 19mm and 25mm mdf and many empty spaces have sand so it is somewhere 70-90kg weight.
Front is removable with screws for driverchange or or other tweaks of say dampingmaterial in the closed chamber behind driver.
Right now whole horn is painted in white but that was a few years so new paint wouldnt be a bad thing to aquirred taste.
