A rare antique Rosenthal R.C. Bavaria tea set, produced by the famous Rosenthal porcelain factory (R.C. Kronach / Bavaria).
The underside bears the original green underglaze backstamp (crown, crossed lines and the letters R.C.), which was used exclusively between 1891 and 1906. This makes the set over 120 years old.
The cups feature a beautiful hand-painted blue monogram/coat of arms (letters M, W and T) and an elegant gilded rim. The service was most likely created as a private commission rather than for general retail sale, making it an exceptionally desirable collector's piece.
The cups are made from high-quality, thick porcelain that retains heat exceptionally well.
Condition is excellent for its age. No chips or cracks. The gilding and hand-painted blue decoration have been beautifully preserved.
