Handmade African ornament: a densely woven raffia base with several rows of
cowrie shells stitched on top. The edges are framed with blue and white
glass trade beads. Hand-twisted fibre cords at each end for tying – can be
worn as an armband, headband or as part of a belt. The reverse is woven and
hand-stitched; photos included.
