For sale: a vintage Voima Radio K40-2 tube amplifier, originally made in Finland.
40w at 8 ohms undistorted.
The amp has undergone servicing over the past few years. All electrolytic caps has been replaced and out of spec resistors/ceramic capacitors.
Original parts are included.
The amp operates on:
3x EF86
2x ECC85
4x EL84
- Input I has been modified to instrument gain level.
- Input II is still microphone level, as factory intended.
Works with guitar but sounds muddier or should I say it has different character (easy to modify)
- Input III is meant to be used with a device with a built in preamp. The volume is lower if you plug an instrument directly into it. This is cool if you have preamp pedal that you'd like to use.
- It also features bass and treble knobs.
- The amp operates well, stable bias etc

The amp comes with a closed-back cabinet containing two 10" Goodmans speakers.
Speakers are in good condition!

Wiring: Currently wired in parallel, giving approximately 7.5 Ω total impedance
A great vintage Finnish tube amp for someone interested in using a piece of Finnish audio history.
