Offered for sale here is a framed original Vintage Fiat 131 Racing double-page magazine advertisement from 1979.
To prevent glare, the photograph was taken without the frame's perspex front cover. Consequently, the advertisement may appear slightly raised or uneven against the backing sheet in the image.
The text on the print reads:
Now that we’ve won the World Rally Championship 2 years in a row, we’ve put out a souvenir.
Every Fiat we make benefits, to one degree or other, from the rallies.
But with this new car, we went overboard.
The 131 Racing* is a memento of the fact that Fiat can out-rally any other car in the world.
Its engine, transmission, suspension, and controls are related to our experience with the 131 Fiat Abarths that won the World Rally Championships.
Its “2000” TC engine features twin overhead camshafts and oversized valves, resulting in incredible efficiency. It features toothed belt driven timing for quiet operation and longer life, molybdenum steel, five-bearing crankshaft for rigidity, maximum balance and absence of vibration, and twin-choke, down-draught carburettor for higher efficiency, lower fuel consumption and easier maintenance.
Even its appearance is related back to performance. Its wheel arch mouldings provide protection against stone chipping. The front spoiler is there to give you increased tyre adhesion at high speeds. Its low-profile 185/70 tyres have wider wheel rims that hold the road like a rally car. Its matt-grey, non-reflective radiator grille has four halogen headlights that give you better visibility at night.
And the Fiat 131 Racing comes in all new body colours, with colour matchings for the bumpers and the wheel arch trim repeated inside by the safety belts and seat covers.
So here it is, the Fiat 131 Racing, the car you’ve been asking us for years to produce.
Now we can all bathe in the glory of victory.

This print is more than 40 years old, so there will be signs of age. Some discoloration is commonplace and often there are small tears and signs of wear — little badges of authenticity.
There will be images and/or text on the back-side of your print. In some cases this may be slightly discernible through your print.
The brand-new frame measures 41.2cm x 31.2cm x 1.0cm. Very close to A3 dimensions.
The print sits centered on an 40xm x 30cm sheet of Clairefontaine Maya 185gsm card stock and is held in place using two Goldbuch acid-free adhesives.
I much prefer to post your item(s) using ToriDiili. It’s quick (next day postage), cheap (roughly €5 for delivery of up to 10 items), safe (everything bubble-wrapped) and reliable (no appointments to keep). But if necessary, pickup from Jätkäsaari can be arranged between 5pm and 8pm.
