Converse x Sailor Jerry Chuck Taylor All Star XHI 100249 – EU 39 ⚓️
Size: EU 39 / US Men 6 / US Women 8 / UK 6 sku: 100249 Release: Converse x Sailor Jerry, Spring 2006 collection / mid-2000s
A rare original-era Converse x Sailor Jerry Chuck Taylor All Star XHI from the mid-2000s collaboration. associated with the Sailor Jerry line that entered Converse’s Spring 2006 seasonal range, this 13-eyelet XHI takes the classic Chuck Taylor far beyond the standard high-top silhouette. The natural canvas upper is printed with Sailor Jerry’s unmistakable pin-up tattoo flash, contrasted against a black rubber toe and outsole：）
Norman “Sailor Jerry” Collins is one of the defining figures of American Traditional tattooing, and this collaboration came from a period when Converse was actively bringing music, tattoo and subcultural imagery onto the Chuck Taylor. The project was officially developed with Sailor Jerry / GYRO and produced by Converse, eventually expanding into a much larger series of tattoo-based designs.
Original Sailor Jerry Converse pairs were commercially distributed in the US by 2006, including through independent Converse retailers, but this exact XHI 100249 is much harder to come across today than the regular Hi versions.
Bought in Tokyo around 5 years ago and carefully stored ever since. They’re still in really lovely condition ♡ No sole separation, tears or structural damage. The Converse logo on the insoles is still clearly visible, and the outsoles show very little wear.
A very special archive pair from the original mid-2000s Sailor Jerry era — especially nice to find in this condition (´꒳`)♡
