The PBF gas mask has been part of the inventory of the former Soviet army since 1973. The PBF mask is visually distinguished by its filters placed on the side cheeks. It is therefore better known popularly as a “hamster” (gray in color) or “gorilla” (black in color).
Unlike the GP5 models (for civil protection), the PBF mask is designed for military use - preferred and worn by various army units due to its high level of comfort when running. The mask is used.
