During their race with time, the guys discover a commonality: both would kill to find the killers... if they didn't kill each other beforehand.
And again 48 hours: police officer Jack Cates has mighty trouble: on his hunt for the mysterious drug lord "Iceman", he has again disregarded all sorts of police regulations and is suspended from service. He gets 48 hours to get "Iceman" behind bars, otherwise he's finally off his job.
