Offered for sale here is a framed original Vintage London Hilton Hotel magazine advertisement from 1980.
To prevent glare, the photograph was taken without the frame's perspex front cover. Consequently, the advertisement may appear slightly raised or uneven against the backing sheet in the image.
The text on the print reads:
London: A Hilton to remember.
Hyde Park from the Hilton. Horses. Lakes. And flowers. Minutes from Buckingham Palace. Strolled down for the Changing of the Guard. Quick meeting at the Hilton, their business service at our disposal. Lunch at the Wellington where we had Beef Wellington of course! Royal Opera that evening and then a midnight dance at the Hilton's 22 Park Lane discothèque. Shopping the next day. So near everything. Plumped for Harrods and Aspreys where we found some lovely decanters. Drinks in the Patio Bar and then dinner-dancing at the Hilton's rooftop restaurant with London twinkling around us. This print is more than 40 years old, so there will be signs of age. Some discoloration is commonplace and often there are small tears and signs of wear — little badges of authenticity.
There will be images and/or text on the back-side of your print. In some cases this may be slightly discernible through your print.
The brand-new A4 frame measures 22.7cm x 31.7cm x 1.0cm.
The print sits centered on an A4 sheet of Canson Iris Vival 185gsm card stock and is held in place using a single Goldbuch acid-free adhesive.
I much prefer to post your item(s) using ToriDiili. It’s quick (next day postage), cheap (roughly €5 for delivery of up to 10 items), safe (everything bubble-wrapped) and reliable (no appointments to keep). But if necessary, pickup from Jätkäsaari can be arranged between 5pm and 8pm.
