The DEORE SL-M6100-I 12-speed Rapidfire Plus shift lever from Shimano with the new I-Spec EV construction is characterised by its lightweight, ergonomic and compact design. In addition to the shifting behaviour, the performance is also up a gear. With 20 % shorter lever reach for fast shifting and 35 % less effort (without original packaging).

Based on the DNA of XTR, DEORE XT and SLX, the new M6100 series now brings the proven SHIMANO 12-speed technologies to the market at DEORE level.
The right-hand DEORE 12-speed shifter benefits from the same technologies as its siblings at XTR, DEORE XT and SLX level, including I-Spec EV. This enables a significantly larger adjustment range for customised cockpit ergonomics in the shift and brake lever area. In combination with other technologies such as RAPIDFIRE PLUS and TWO-WAY RELEASE, these shift levers allow you to shift faster, more precisely and more comfortably than ever before in both directions through the 12 gears of the cassette.

Technologies
2-Way Release
The release lever of a RAPIDFIRE Plus shift lever is pulled towards the handle like the trigger of a pistol. The release lever of the new RAPIDFIRE Plus shift levers from ALIVIO to XTR can be operated in the same way. However, it can also be used to shift gears using thumb pressure.
Rapidfire Plus
RAPIDFIRE Plus has been used by mountain bikers since 1985. RAPIDFIRE Plus continues to be used successfully by a wide variety of rider groups, from cross-country competition riders to freeriders. RAPIDFIRE Plus is suitable for fast shifting. The rider can downshift by up to three gears with a single shift. All RAPIDFIRE Plus shift levers, from DEORE to XTR, are equipped with 2-WAY-RELEASE (release in two directions). This means that the shift cable is released by pulling with the index finger or pressing with the thumb.

I-SPEC EV creates a clean, action-optimised cockpit layout that helps more riders to increase concentration and flexibility.
