1960s Finnish Wooden Chess Pieces in Original Packaging
Offered for sale here is a 1960s Finnish Wooden Chess Pieces in Original Packaging.
Offered for sale here is a set of wooden chess pieces from the 1960s (I think - there is some paperwork in the box which shows game results from 1967) in its original packaging.
Markings on the box read: "SHAKKI PELI
SCHACK SPEL
VALMISTAJA: H. UOTISEN PUUSORVAAMO TURKU"
Roughly translated in English to mean chess set, produced by H. Uotinen's Wood Turning Workshop in Turku.
The cardboard packaging is in very bad condition but the pieces themselves are in very good condition.
The base of the king is 35mm in diameter.
I much prefer to post your item(s) using ToriDiili. It’s quick (next day postage), cheap (roughly €5 for delivery of up to 10 items), safe (everything bubble-wrapped) and reliable (no appointments to keep). But if necessary, pickup from Jätkäsaari can be arranged between 5pm and 8pm.
Let me know if you're interested in purchasing more than one item, we can work out a modest discount and I'll combine postage.
