This is a very friendly bird that truly enjoys human company. It loves to play, thrives in a lively home environment, and prefers being around others. These birds have a very gentle temperament and bond quickly with their owners, especially when they are still young.
I have two of these birds, and unfortunately, I need to sell them. They are still very young. An experienced person could hand-feed them, which helps foster a strong bond with humans from an early age. Alternatively, I can wait until they learn to eat on their own and begin to fly.
They eat a varied diet, including boiled eggs, bird seeds (available at the "Prisma" store for just five euros), toasted bread, and various fruits (with the seeds removed) and vegetables. They love eating from the same plate as you! If your food is low in fat and safe for birds, they might just want to share it with you.
Overall, this is a beautiful and highly affectionate bird. They may even learn to speak a few words—their father, for instance, can say "kiss" and even his own name. If you talk to them and interact with them regularly, it is quite likely that they will learn some simple words as well.
