*One of the most remarkable and original minds in parapsychology '
COLIN WILSON
A former Cambridge archaeologist, who for 30 years was Director of Excavations for the Cambridge Antiquarian Society and The University Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology, T. C.
Lethbridge is best known for his pioneering work in the field of parapsychology, where he combined a rigorous scientific method with an infectious enthusiasm for his subject.
Both the rigour of the scientist and the enthusiasm of the man are evident in this distillation of his best work. Tom Graves and Janet Hoult here present the essence of Lethbridge's thinking on such diverse subjects as ghosts, ghouls, poltergeists, psychokinesis, psychometry, terrestrial magnetism, healing, telepathy and interplanetary warfare.
Perhaps the most enduring of all Lethbridge's activities were his pendulum experiments, and these are featured at length. Thus this excellent anthology offers a wealth of practical detail for devotees of the art of dowsing, as well as an incomparable glimpse at the life and work of a man whose gifts were far ahead of his time.
