Medium weight fleece.
Overall item is better quality than I'd think based on the rrp.
For me 180cm/85kg (I wear mens L tops, 34/32 jeans/chinos) No problem wearing it over another heavy fleece, item is very roomy. It is too short in the sleeves for me and there you notice it is a womens item.

I have a professional garment steamer. All the items are steam-ironed and inspected. If there is any latent smell/odour on the item, it will be noticed when the item is steamed. If there is odour, the item is destroyed and never put for sale.
