The bed was bought new, assembled once and used by two children during a year. The white base is a bit dirty but can be washed. On the lower bed the paint scratched in one place where pillow is, but can be also refreshed with paint.
The mattresses were used with additional covers.
But still there are minor stains left on the bottom mattress, which can be washed as the matress cape can be removed (on zipper).
If you intend to buy, then please be prepared to disassemble the bed yourself.
Curtains can be removed.
