Up for sale is a true vintage late 60s dress by the American designer label Paganne.
Very rare design, a true gem for collectors. This is the only copy of this design I have ever come across in the past 10+ years! Apart from this dress, I only saw it another time, in blue.
Paganne prints were designed by the talented Gene Berk. Based in the USA, he used to make high-end garments with prints that were as sophisticated as the ones by Emilio Pucci, Léonard de Paris or Mr. Dino ...
An abstract floral pattern, so hippy chic, in vibrant colors, typical of the era. They remind me of a yummy ice-cream : Mocha and French nougat beige backgrounds divided into rectangular patches ; and a floral pattern in bubblegum pink, mocha, light corn yellow and coconut white with black outlines.
Some stretch to the fabric. Lightweight silky synthetic fabric, typical of the era and of the brand. No heavy criplene.
The size corresponds to UK 8-10, XS/34.
