After 7 years of being a bunny owner, I am looking to rehome my furballs to a home, where space, attention, lots of hay and free-roaming awaits them. Both being bought from registered breeders in Finland. The female (Tapsi, the brown one) turned 7 in May and the boy (Pindur/Kandur the grey one) 1 year old in August. They both are fixed(castrated and spayed). They come with their registration papers and vet history.
It's important the new home has carpeted floors, as they can’t run and be comfortable on parkette or vinyl floors. I hope to find a home with no additional pets besides them, dwarf bunnies do not go well with dog or cat or other animals- they are prey animal and they would be constantly frightened. Also its advised if you have very small child/children to not have them, since they are not the cuddly ones. They sleep in the daytime and are active at night and a bit in the morning. Stressy environment, disrupted daily rhythm can make them sick.
They live free-roamed in the apartment, meaning no putting them in a cage, it would suffocate them. They are litter trained and use their 2 litter boxes. They like to have a hiding house or a sofa table covered, serving as a shelter so they can rest during the daytime.
Besides them I am giving:
• 7kg Versele Laga Cuni adult rabbit food,
• Hay
• 2 types of rabbit carriers
• 2 litter box
• paperpellet for the litter box (for pee absorption)
• some medicines like bio-lapis, espumisan in case of bloating, painkiller and syringes
• washable bath rugs (for the litter boxes to serve as a padded surface)
• 2 sets of exercise pen- one with 12 pcs of panel and one with 6 pcs of panel- so all together 18 buildable panels
Please let me know what kind of a home you would be providing them as I need to make sure they can continue having a safe, loving, content life. Rabbits are big responsibility-they can not be left unattended without fresh and food no longer than 24hours. They require their litter boxes be clean, have fresh, green, delicious hay and fresh water at all times. Occasionally a little fruit, fresh herbs(basil, parsley,lettuce) can be given to them, but 80% of their diet is HAY.
