This shoe is named for the miners of the Meseabi Iron Range in Northern Minnesota, who were in desperate need of footwear that could withstand the rugged terrain. Even then, the leather-reinforced toecap and sophisticated heel construction successfully stood up to the most adverse conditions. The dark brown Amber Harness leather produced by the company-owned S.B. Foot Tannery is one of our most popular leathers and the Vibram 430 Sole is extremely durable due to its very low reduction.
