Read fully before messaging , I have very high criteria for the next owner. If this post is still up I have not sold my sweet parrot.
Extremely tame and human loving 1year old lovebird.
Hina is extremely loving and loves spending time with her human , grooming her owner and easily warms up to friends coming over (given you respect and understand her boundaries)
She loves chirping and singing along bird sounds and answers to clicks and kissy sounds excitedly. she gets excited in the morning when she hears her owner moving. she loves seedless green grapes but they need to be given to her in moderation, she loves sunflower seeds and will choose them over any other seed mix but they should only be given to her in a mix of proper variety of seeds meant for her species, she should have a variety of greens daily and pellets . She gets upset when approached too hectic and will bite if you do not talk to her and make click sounds and slowly put your hand out saying “no bite” in a calm tone, as her breeder was too handsy with her and did not respect her boundaries she gets scared and tries to show “No do not touch me” . She rarely ever bites me , but do expect a lot of biting when first bonding with her . She is extremely healthy and extremely lively , doesn’t care to fly a lot but loves toys and perches very much .
REQUIREMENTS:
-Only to a person who has had lovebirds/or other parrots before and preferably has them now
- not for breeding in anyway
-I will need assurances of the conditions where the bird will go and that will include pictures of the space you’ll give the bird
- Not for a first parrot
- Lifelong home , someone who is willing to take care of her for 15 years and ready to take her to the vet every 6 months for a check up and instantly if there is anything that seems to be a problem with the parrot
- not a household where there is dogs or cats in the same space , separate rooms is fine but they can absolutely not mix for the parrots safety
- the price will not be lowered on any counts as avian vet bills can and will often be way more expensive than that of a dog or cat and for a pet the price is cheap
-must have a cage and all other necessary for the bird before adoption.
I will likely want to visit the household where my beloved parrot is going so to know it is legitimate. A lovebird lives longer than a dog , it is a serious commitment
