The condition is as in the picture, so water goes inside. Our child use it until today and they are still really warm, especially in the cold weather like today. However, when the weather warmer and snow is wet, water will go through.
We use them in autumn until now and my child played in water puddle. It doesn't bother much and only one occurence that water really bothers.
