Offered for sale here is a framed original Glenlivet Single Malt Scotch Whisky magazine advertisement from 1988.
The text on the print reads:
It was the finest whisky in the Kingdom. So why did the King have to hide it?
As you can see, George IV was a man of great taste. When it came to single malt whisky he insisted on THE GLENLIVET. It was said that "he would drink nothing else".
So why should such a discerning monarch conceal this from the world? Why couldn't he openly enjoy that silky smoothness, that smoky hint of its age and provenance?
Quite simply, it was illegal. This, unfortunately, had been the case since 1747, when it was first distilled in the Highlands.
Luckily for all law-abiding whisky lovers THE GLENLIVET® was made legal at last in 1824.
Until then, even the King himself, the man who wore the crown no less, was obliged to keep it under his hat.

This print is almost 40 years old, so there will be signs of age. Some discoloration is commonplace and often there are small tears and signs of wear — little badges of authenticity.
There will be images and/or text on the back-side of your print. In some cases this may be slightly discernible through your print.
The brand-new A4 frame measures 22.7cm x 31.7cm x 1.0cm.
The print sits centered on an A4 sheet of Canson Iris Vival 185gsm card stock and is held in place using a single Goldbuch acid-free adhesive.
Can be posted (Toridiili) or collected from either Punavuori or Jätkäsaari, whatever suits best.
