Offered for sale here is a framed original Vintage Rolex Explorer Watch magazine advertisement from 1998.
To prevent glare, the photograph was taken without the frame's perspex front cover. Consequently, the advertisement may appear slightly raised or uneven against the backing sheet in the image.
The text on the print reads:
THE BACK OF ERLING KAGGE'S WRISTWATCH IS ENGRAVED WITH THESE WORDS: NORTH POLE 1990, SOUTH POLE 1992-3, MT EVEREST 1994.
IT SAYS EXPLORER ON THE FRONT AS WELL.

You do not attempt even one of these expeditions without discarding all but the most vital equipment. Which is how Erling Kagge's Rolex Explorer II came to accompany him every bruised and blistered step of the way. Subjected to hundreds of hours of independent testing before it even leaves Geneva, this exceptionally rugged chronometer does not earn the name Explorer lightly. But then, as you have seen, neither did its intrepid wearer.

This print is more than 20 years old, so there will be signs of age. Some discoloration is commonplace and often there are small tears and signs of wear — little badges of authenticity.
There will be images and/or text on the back-side of your print. In some cases this may be slightly discernible through your print.
The brand-new A4 frame measures 22.7cm x 31.7cm x 1.0cm.
The print sits centered on an A4 sheet of Canson Iris Vival 185gsm card stock and is held in place using a single Goldbuch acid-free adhesive.
I much prefer to post your item(s) using ToriDiili. It’s quick (next day postage), cheap (roughly €5 for delivery of up to 10 items), safe (everything bubble-wrapped) and reliable (no appointments to keep). But if necessary, pickup from Jätkäsaari can be arranged between 5pm and 8pm.
