The opening of the fragrance is beautifully scented with iris, which is very soft and powdery, supported by woody undertones. I've recently taken a liking to different types of alcoholic drinks in fragrances, and the gin in this composition is exactly the reason why. The gin is green, slightly bitter, and piney. The gin component is perfect for this scent. Gradually this is combined with pink pepper, which isn't as aggressive as black pepper. Pink pepper has a subtle fruity-spicy undertone. Not to be taken literally, of course, it doesn't smell like fruit, but there is a slight fruity spiciness. Black pepper, on the other hand, is very aromatic and can be very harsh on the nose. After about 20 minutes, the violet comes to the fore and becomes the star of the fragrance, thanks to the pink pepper, which often brings out the floral and woody notes of a composition. The violet stays in the foreground for the remainder of the development, keeping the other ingredients playing their part in the background. However, it is not your typical floral, sweet-to-sugary violet; expect more of a woody, green-to-earthy nuance. The moss is a sensual, earthy, and woody component, supporting everything the violet brings in. The dry down of the fragrance is musky, sweet, and woody.
