Merkki: HP
HP ENVY x360 13" convertible laptop, sold as faulty / for repair.
Specs:
• AMD Ryzen 7 5800U
• 16 GB RAM
• 512 GB NVMe SSD
• 13" touchscreen, 360° convertible design
• Windows 11
• Original charger included
The laptop is in very good cosmetic condition with no significant scratches or dents.
Fault: the laptop has an intermittent startup problem. Sometimes it starts normally, but at other times it powers on with the fan/keyboard lights working while the screen remains black and it does not reach the HP logo. A full power drain and leaving it switched off for a while can sometimes allow it to start again.
When it does boot, the display, touchscreen and other basic functions work. Windows has also frozen on some occasions.
The HP built-in extensive hardware diagnostics were run and passed, including the SSD, memory, processor, battery/system board and other components. BIOS recovery was also successfully performed, but the intermittent startup fault returned.
The battery was tested disconnected with AC power only, and the SSD was also removed for a startup test; the same black-screen fault remained, so neither appears to be the cause.
Windows has been reset and the laptop is currently at the initial Windows setup screen, as shown in the photos.
One Wi-Fi antenna lead is currently disconnected after troubleshooting. Wi-Fi networks were still detected at the Windows setup screen.
Sold as faulty, with no guarantee that it will start reliably. Suitable for someone who wants to repair it or use it for parts.
