Arabian Paju teekannu | Finnish vintage Arabia hand-painted Paju ("Willow") teapot | €75
The teapot in this Paju motif in blue and yellow is in an excellent vintage condition. No chips, no cracks, no crazing. A couple of minuscule specks on the faïence. A couple of fine, superficial, marks of use.
Dimensions: Ø ~130 mm, width ~225 mm, height ~110 mm.
Pick-up from Kallio in Helsinki. Possible to deliver for a fee within Helsinki/Espoo/Vantaa (and, with delay, along the Helsinki / Tampere / Pori route).
€12 minimum delivery within Finland. Final shipping costs, in Finland or International, to be agreed with the buyer and are covered by the buyer. PAJU. Produced by the renowned Arabia of Finland. The Paju motif, made only between 1970-1972, was designed in 1969 by Anja Jaatinen (-Winquist by marriage) and was mainly used on the ND3 tableware model designed in 1960 by Ulla Procopé. Each Paju faïence item unpretentiously shows the signs of the production processes, hand-painted and signed by hand too, with the brand name and the initials of both the designer and the painter… All this makes each item unique and quite rare as well… true retro, vintage treasures.
