Offered for sale here is a framed original Rolex Oyster Chronometer Watch advertisement from 1984.
To prevent glare, the photograph was taken without the frame’s perspex front cover. Consequently, the advertisement may appear slightly raised or uneven against the backing sheet in the image.
The text on the print reads:
Every Franco Zeffirelli film is scheduled by Rolex.
If one were merely to list the achievements of Franco Zeffirelli... Zeffirelli, the set designer; Zeffirelli the director of stage and opera; Zeffirelli the film maker ... then just from such a list it would be instantly apparent that this man must possess phenomenal energy and extraordinary talent.
It is impossible, however, adequately to describe that unique talent; to understand why the reputation of this man is legendary.
To do that, one must see a Zeffirelli production for oneself. His latest film of the opera "La Traviata" for instance. Only then can one understand why, when it was shown on television, 88 per cent of all Italian people saw his film "Jesus of Nazareth". Why, despite predictions that Shakespeare would not do well in the cinema, his film interpretations of "The Taming of the Shrew" and "Romeo and Juliet" became hugely popular successes.
And why the audience on seeing one of his productions for opera or stage, will often insist on Zeffirelli himself taking the final curtain call.
It is the vibrancy and depth of human emotion which emanate from his work that can literally overwhelm the audience.
Zeffirelli was born and brought up in Florence where he had a classical education. "You don’t have to go to school in Florence to learn about art and civilisation," he says, "it is all around you. I try to bring my cultural upbringing to the films that I make."

This print is more than 40 years old, so there will be signs of age. Some discoloration is commonplace and often there are small tears and signs of wear — little badges of authenticity.
There will be images and/or text on the back-side of your print. In some cases this may be slightly discernible through your print.
The brand-new A4 frame measures 22.7cm x 31.7cm x 1.0cm.
The print sits centered on an A4 sheet of Canson Iris Vival 185gsm card stock and is held in place using a single Goldbuch acid-free adhesive.
