1950s Traditional Hummel Pottery German Beer Stein #3
Offered here is an original traditional German Stein with pewter lid. On one side it features the text Hamburg Ahoi and an old galleon sailing ship. On the other, another sailing ship and the words St. Pauli - the port of Hamburg and the harbour area. The front features a seaman holding two buckets and the text Hummel raised. Hummel being the producer of the piece.
It has a 200 or 250ml (quarter litre) capacity. A little online research suggests it dates from the 1950s.
Considering its age the piece is in very good used condition with some minor chips in the paint work but no major cracks (see photos). Due to the fragility of the piece it is offered for sale pick up only. We can arrange to meet in either Punavuori or Jätkäsaari, whichever suits best. Please check out my other listings.
