The Hilton Guide to Corfu
An islet that was once Odysseus ship and is now a mouse
According to legend the Phaeacian ship that carried Odysseus to Ithaca was turned to stone by Poseidon - right at the front door of the Hilton! The stone-ship' is now called Mouse Island and is one of the features of Kanoni - Corfu's most famous beauty spot.
Another feature of Kanoni is the delightful new Hilton, a complete resort set on a pine and cypress garlanded hill, with one of the finest views in the Mediterranean. This lovely hotel, with its Garden Rooms by the pool and 'Greek Village' style architecture, offers every-thing you need for a wonderful holiday.
But since you will certainly wish to explore the romantic, flower-splashed island of Corfu, here are a few suggestions to help you on your way.
Swimming. Abundant, beautiful and -even in season - quiet beaches make Corfu a swimmer's paradise. Take a caique, a small boat to one of the remote beaches and you can be alone. Alternatively, swim from the Hilton's own beach. Or simply relax by one of the hotel's two pools-one of which is indoor and heated.
Eating. From haute cuisine in the Eptanisa Grill to informal eating in the Taverna, the Hilton offers superb food. At lunch-times the Taverna becomes the Pool Terrace Restaurant offering snacks and fresh village salads to guests who, ensnared bv the sun, have chosen to spend a lazy day by the pool. By contrast, enjoyable evenings can be spent in the Barbecue - where you grill your own food -serenaded by a trio of minstrels who wander through each of the restaurants every night. In the hill village of Kinopiastes is the Tripa Taverna. Don't ask for a menu - the owner serves whatever he wishes, but you can be sure that it will be exquisite.
Sports. For the energetic, the Hilton offers two tennis courts and a four lane bowling alley. Near Pelekas is 'Ropas Meadow' a superb golf course of championship standard. After an exciting day-and before joining in the many evening activities provided - you will want to relax with a drink. So make your way to the Ket Bar, where Marcello plays and guests dance to his music.

The print sits centered on an A4 sheet of Canson Iris Vival 185gsm card stock and is held in place using a single Goldbuch acid-free adhesive.
Can be posted (Toridiili) or collected from either Punavuori or Jätkäsaari, whatever suits best.
