Offered for sale here is a framed original Sony ELCASET Deck magazine advertisement from 1977.
The text on the print reads:
All sounds are created equal.
But all sound recorders are not.
High C above C should always be high C above C.
And the low rumble of an electric bass should thump out the rhythm just so.
With a good open reel tape deck, these sounds can be reproduced almost exactly.
But until now. cassette decks, although more convenient tan open-reel, nad a tendency to let high C get covered up by high hiss. And low bass was often knocked out by low hum.
No more.
The new Sony ELCASET deck gives vou sound equal to many open reels with the convenience of a cassette system.
Really.
First, there's the ELCASET itself.
The tape is as wide as open reel. So there's more recording surface and hence truer reproduction. It can be recorded in either 4 track stereo or monaural.
And the ELCASET runs at twice the speed of a compact cassette.
Then, because in the ELCASET the tape is enclosed, loading is more practical and tape damage is virtually eliminated.
Sony's advanced technology in the field of video contributed heavily to the development of ELCASET.
For example, as in videocassette systems, the tape is moved to the capstan - not the other way around as in
compact cassette recorders - thus cutting down on the wobbles you get with moveable heads.
Next, the decks themselves have high fidelity specifications never before imaginable in a cassette system.
And as you'd expect, all models are equipped with front loading and Dolby System • with MPX filter to
make perfection even more perfect.

This print is almost 50 years old, so there will be signs of age. Some discoloration is commonplace and often there are small tears and signs of wear — little badges of authenticity.
There will be images and/or text on the back-side of your print. In some cases this may be slightly discernible through your print.
The brand-new A4 frame measures 22.7cm x 31.7cm x 1.0cm.
The print sits centered on an A4 sheet of Canson Iris Vival 185gsm card stock and is held in place using a single Goldbuch acid-free adhesive.
I can post via Toridilli or you can pickup from Jätkäsaari or Punavuori - whatever suits you best.
