Offered for sale here is a framed original Vintage Rolex Submariner Watch magazine advertisement from 1997.
To prevent glare, the photograph was taken without the frame's perspex front cover. Consequently, the advertisement may appear slightly raised or uneven against the backing sheet in the image.
The text on the print reads:
"To an underwater photographer, time is even more precious than light"
David Doubilet is recognised as one of the most artistically ambitious underwater photographers in the world.
Says Doubilet: "I look beneath the water for the same elements a surface photographer does - light, colour, motion, and gesture-and there is no place that offers a subtler variety of those elements than the sea."
To achieve his singular effects, Doubilet and his assistants will submerge themselves for hours at a stretch, sometimes taking with them as many as ten complete camera systems, spare scuba tanks, and computers to ensure that every dive is carefully monitored.
Yet of all the equipment David Doubilet takes with him on each diving expedition, there is one particular item that he trusts above all others. "My Rolex Submariner. It is something I regard as utterly indispensable."

This print is more than 20 years old, so there will be signs of age. Some discoloration is commonplace and often there are small tears and signs of wear — little badges of authenticity.
There will be images and/or text on the back-side of your print. In some cases this may be slightly discernible through your print.
The brand-new A4 frame measures 22.7cm x 31.7cm x 1.0cm.
The print sits centered on an A4 sheet of Canson Iris Vival 185gsm card stock and is held in place using a single Goldbuch acid-free adhesive.
I much prefer to post your item(s) using ToriDiili. It’s quick (next day postage), cheap (roughly €5 for delivery of up to 10 items), safe (everything bubble-wrapped) and reliable (no appointments to keep). But if necessary, pickup from Jätkäsaari can be arranged between 5pm and 8pm.
